For those who decide to call Twizel home, there are plenty of services and clubs that cater to, and are part of, this thriving community. The town is home to two medical centres, emergency services, a pharmacy, a community library, hairdressers, and an ANZ Bank branch. In Market Place you’ll also find a wide selection of shops, including two supermarkets, a hardware store, clothing and gift boutiques, and the country’s littlest bookshop.
When it comes to food and drink, there is no shortage of choice. From traditional Kiwi pubs or boutique craft beer bars and eateries, to food trucks, fine-dining restaurants, and award-winning cafés, Twizel is home to a wide range of establishments that will satisfy any craving. There are also plenty of clubs to join. Whether your sport of choice is netball, rugby, football, badminton, or cricket, Twizel has a range to suit everyone year-round. Or if knitting, gardening, singing, arts, or quilting is more your thing, Twizel has clubs for those too. Families are also serviced by a Plunket group, which runs a toy library for local children.
